"Osraty" Association, the Family Development Association in Madinah, was established in the year 1422 AH, headed and directed by His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the second deputy of the Council of Ministers, the former Governor of Madinah Region.
The association joined under the umbrella of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development through license No. (309) in the year 1426 AH, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, the governor of the region at the time. Its honorary board is currently chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Madinah region.
The Association is also witnessing a development in various aspects of its path in order to improve its performance and aspirations in order to achieve a multi-vision strategy that contributes to achieving the social policy of the state that aims to achieve family stability in Saudi Arabia, and the society’s policy depends on two axes which are the pastoral side and the development side, as pastoral support aims to reduce the financial burden on the shoulders of low income individuals , as well as supporting Memorizers of the Qur’an with direct cash grants.
As for the second axis, it includes all forms of social support, the most important of which is developing young people's awareness of the rules of a sound family and providing it with skills so as to enable the family to perform its functions at all levels socially, economically and culturally. Then, the family becomes truly the first building block in the society. We provide development support through many family programs and projects, including: the qualification program for those who are getting married, and a project towards a stable family to educate workers in the governmental, military and educational sectors. A family pulses program, and a first year marriage program, which is concerned with educating emerging families about the different principles of life, and many different family lectures and events. Among the support services provided by the association are the family counseling service and the service of matchmaking of those who wish to marry. The association also supports family studies and researches.
